Ok, I'll bite. Is there a standard design? Is any group currently
working on a design that could be mass produced? What would the per
article cost be for the sat itself, testing, etc broken down by line item.

Hello,
Once again I will have the pleasure to be involved with one of the major
events on the East Coast for Amateur Radio. Ham Radio University,
http://hamradiouniversity.org/, billed as A Day of education to share
ideas, experience, knowledge and fellowship among Amateur Radio operators.
Or why not just turn the voice transponder on one of the two radio's that are
on the ISS? Hmmm...
Or why not just install whatever type of setup that would make everyone happy
ON THE ISS? Why waste all that money developing/building all these sats and
then waste all that money on a launch
These potential ARRisats don't even have to be as sophisticated as the last. A
simple 16-20khz linear transponder (from http://www.qsl.net/pe1rah/ ) or a
simple single channel FM bird. One or two of these every six months or so
would keep us happy campers! Maybe even one with L/S mode.
AMSAT area coordination Clint Bradford K6LCS will again be
attending and demonstrating working ham satellites with minimal
equipment at the third annual Desert Radio Amateur Transmitting
Society's HamFest on Saturday, January 28, 2012.
Although we have recently lost two FM ham satellites -

We have some very smart people who are involved with Universities, launch
vendors and the like. A bird could have a gizzmo that would have what a
univ ersity wants to accomplish (with added transponder) .

Hi Joe,
For RS-10/11, I'd recommend just using RS-10. I don't recall ever hearing the
11 side of that bird on during the several years that I worked it.
They did a lot of switching around of RS-12 and 13, especially towards the end
of its life, so that one will be harder to select.

The trip down to EL97 was uneventful. The location chosen
was on US1 in Sebastian Florida, Indian River County. 21
stations were worked on the AO-27 1825z pass and 6
more were worked on the low elevation western pass at 2005z.
It was sunny with temps in the low 70's, a very nice day for

I am just full of questions tonight.
The AMSAT Sat status page has an RS-22 and the Celestrak keps in SatPC32 has
UO-22. Are they the same satellite?
