Hi Vincenzo,
I'm not familiar with your particular SDR dongle, but I have used the
Funcube Dongle. PPM is just 'parts per million'. It is the adjustment to
compensate for inaccuracies in the crystal frequency within the dongle; it
calibrates the frequency setting on the SDR/dongle.
In the US,
FYI, I will try to be on the transponder during this evening's 2314z pass.
It's an 80 degree pass here in NJ. I'll be handheld using my VX-5R and
homebrew dual yagi and homebrew diplexer. I hope some others (beside Paul!
;-) ) will join me.

Hi Kelley,
If you are able to copy stations on the 145.825 MHz downlink you have
your packet setup working. If you add more antenna you'll find you
can copy a pass starting sooner and lasting longer. Otherwise, if you
hear with the vertical antenna it is working OK.
I use the USA 144.390 MHz
Hi JoAnne,
I am able to copy stations on 145.825. I am also able to do APRS on
144.390 (and the aprs.fi website shows my station as being active).
1. I now recall a series of posts not to long ago that talked about this
very issue of SATGATE's. The only reason I wanted to see a posting of my
Kelley,
One of the other problems is all the unattended beacons that are firing
away every 30 seconds which make it extremely difficult for people that are
at the radio trying to make actual contacts.

Yeah, it sounds like the radio/TNC/Computer end is running. Hopefully
some of my comments would prove useful to others thinking of trying

Hi from Kelley EN25.
Yes, this will send the UI packet from you with the quoted text.

Or I will just blame senior moment- what is a easy way to keep some of these
newer birds organized and have them all in the standard list on satpc32. So all
the birds are listed on the same list. There have been several Litxx birds
I have got mixed up. Trying to keep up with the program.
Nothing heard here on that pass. Were you on?

Hi All,
I just installed (upgraded) to SatPC32 v. 12.8c.
Now, I have two installations here. One on my new laptop, and one on my
desktop PC. Laptop is for portable work, of course.
I noticed that on my laptop installation, on the SETUP menu OPTIONS
dialog, there is a checkbox for GROUND
I will say that the fact that the actuality of the 5KHz lower than published
frequency (Known for years) is the reason that often times you here a newby
on the bird, throwing out his call, getting responded to but never answering
back. I had a good QSO on HF a bit back, mentioned I do AMSAT and
Good evening,
Thanks to all for the many QSOs on several passes of SO-50, AO-73,
AO-7, and FO-29 from the DC Mini Maker Faire at Yards Park (named for
the nearby Washington Navy Yard, which used to also occupy the area
that is now a park) on the Anacostia River waterfront in Washington,
DC. I got
02:20z pass sounded like SO-50! Heard KO6TZ and a few others, and I
think I worked NU6O / CN70 - the satellite crossed through North right
at the time of the QSO and the rotor decided it had to spin around, so I
lost his reply.
Nice satellite!

During the 0350Z pass, it appears that batteries discharged and LO-78 has
reverted to CW FM. Telemetry indicates battery voltage of 6.9 Volts, and I
believe it needs to recharge to 7.4 before the transponder is active.

Hi!
Saturday was a busy day. Starting with the White Mountain Hamfest
in Show Low, Arizona, just after 0500 local time (1200 UTC), to working
several passes from along I-40 and old US-66 at the DM54/DM55 grid
boundary in the afternoon, to the driving up to the hamfest Friday
evening and back
