I heard the beacon of the XW1 during the 16:32 UTC pass on 15th
Dec.VU2BJZ,VU2WMY and VU2GUR also heard the CW beacon. The signals were good
right from AOS to LOS. The CW telemetry said that the beacon RF output power
was 123 mw and the beacon power supply was as 0.65 volts. I used the
Great launch of the satellites by the PSLV launch vehicle from India.

It is sad and shocking to know that Robert is no more. I remember meeting
him many times and will continue to remember him as a humble and fine human
being. He was a life member of AMSAT INDIA and has advised and shared his
inputs during the design of VO-52. He was also one of the early VU
