Aihe: [amsat-bb] new sat beacon around 435.800 ?
Hi my friends !
I was preparing to listen the next pass, orbit nr 16160, of Hope-
1
Many thanks Scott/N1AIA and Mika/OH8MBN,
Yes, it was FO-29... I wrote 435.910 for the beacon of FO-29 and this
wrong frequency was leading me to mistake. The JAS-2/FO-29 beacon is very
close to the one of Hope-1.
Thank you again, best 73 !

The typical small satellite projects I have seen in DoD typically cost about
$5 to $10 million or more. Then for DoD, the launch is free (its gets paid
for out of a different pot)..

Wow! Alright, outside DoD and commercial, what does an AMSAT project

AO-51 cost in the neighborhood of 400,000 dollars to build and
Remember, anything the Gov't or DoD does costs 10 times what private
industry would cost.

Labour and components for Sunsat (SO-35) cost around 11 million
South African rand (or 2 million USD at the time). The launch was
sponsored by NASA in exchange for
$200,000 for something simple should do it. - If you're careful.

never had a problem demo'ing in front of audiences.
Of course it is busy on the prime time passes.

AO27 was nice this afternoon also. A couple of Mexician stations on (one in
EL10) and a few US stations, but no overcrowding.
