Just for completeness, I brought a copy of qdns.exe home, and tried it on
my XP machine, and it did work, so whatever caused it not to work for you
isn't necessarily a problem with the OS.

I see now I can specify \MYDIR\analog.cfg via:
analog -G +g\MYDIR\analog.cfg
