Thanks for the replies, unfortunately all steps have been tried and
there hasn't been any problems with the driver according to the Device
Manager as it seems to be recognised correctly.
Applications cannot be debugged at all on Windows 7

it set up to debug?
There is a known issue on Windows when this is the case. If this is your
problem, try following these steps:

Have you installed the USB drivers? Addon download after you have
installed the Android SDK, just type android at a command prompt.

I have the same problem, and the device seems to be installed normally
with the drivers from the SDK.
