Sure, makes sense. My two cents is, it seems like a whole lot of
people need to grab an image from the gallery and plop a chunk of a
certain size out of that image. Ofcourse, doing that by hand is
possible and wouldn't be all that hard, but it would involve a hole
lot of typing for us app develop
I had the same problem. The CROP activity worked on 1.6 but not on
2.1. The fix turned out to be an easy one. In 1.6, I defined the
activity as
Intent intnt = new Intent("com.android.camera.action.CROP");
intnt.setClassName("com.android.camera",
"com.android.camera.CropImage");

"wack" up (was a sad day. realized I'm not "with it" anymore). But I
think after a while my skin has gotten much thicker. Just keep
reminding myself that this "wack"ing is pretty much the only form of

Do Verizon phones even load without being hooked up to Verizon? Sorry
for being ignorant. Have never had Verizon and not huge on mobile
protocols. I know a gsm phone wont let you past the boot prompt
without a valid sim card.

So if we think about this logically, Droid is the only device
available on Verizon. So if I'm an android developer (which usually
means I have an android phone) and I'm on Verizon, I already have the
Droid! And if I don't have the Droid I don't have Verizon and a Droid
would be useless to me :-).
try/catch everything and toast a message in the catch block saying
"here is where I would have FC'd but I didnt! Give me 5 stars
