Hello, I'm trying to use BackupAgent but it doesn't work as i want. I'm trying this code: https://github.com/ellis2323/BackupRestore and have published a test app on market.
On my Nexus S (ICS 4.0.3), if i install my app with auto-update, i can wipe my app and when i restore my account, my app is installed with its backup. The restored value is "Nexus S". If i remove my app before wipe, when i install my app, there is no backup. Is it a normal behavior ? On my Nexus One, the behavior is the same but the value is "Nexus One". So for each device, it seems that i have a different backup. On other devices, it doesn't work: - SGS 2 (2.3.5): it seems to backup but no restoration. - Archos A101G9, the backup manager doesn't store data in cloud... only locally with error message. - LG Slate restoration => nothing So, i have different questions: - with one account, each device has its own backup? - when i have a new device, what backup is chosen ? - Is there real applications published on market using this functionality? I'm a game developer and i want help my user to use our games on tablet and phones at the same time. We're using OpenFeint which has cloud backup but only 10% want use it.
