I know that this is probably a stupid question, but I am completely new to Android development. I have worked through a number of the examples, and now have a bunch of apps on my simulated phone. I would like to remove some of those apps (to reduce the clutter), but cannot figure out how to do it. If I click on the app icon and hold down the mouse button, the screen changes to the main screen, and there appears to be a trash can at the bottom. However, dragging the icon to the trash can seems to have no effect.
