*Position: **Project Manager* *with Automobile Background* *Location: Plano, TX* *Duration: long term* The Sr. Project Manager will need to possess strong interpersonal skills as they effectively manage expectations for project stakeholders and develop strong relationships with senior leadership. This individual must have the organizational savvy to successfully manage risks, issues, and work streams for project team members. The Sr. Project Manager will work with the IT Management team as needed to assess the health of a given project based on common metrics and best practice. *Essential Functions.* - Assist the Senior Manager, PMO in developing and managing enterprise projects in custom development, COTS, infrastructure and network related initiatives. - Prepare project scoping documents and budgetary estimates for executive review and approval. - Break projects down to high-level epics and features and establish the dependencies between them. - Partner with application development managers to define user stories and acceptance criteria. - Prioritize and manage project backlogs to optimize the utilization of team members. - Proactively manage project issues and risks and help eliminate bottlenecks to maximize team efficiency. - Communicate routine status to project steering committees. - Develop and manage plans for user acceptance testing, system implementation, and warranty support. - Conduct regular retrospective meetings and support a culture of continuous improvement. - Develop and leverage strong partnerships with IT and business leadership. - Other duties may be assigned. *Qualifications * *Education and Experience requirements: **Requires a bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience. * - Experience with custom development, infrastructure and network related projects of moderate to high complexity built in modern technologies and architectural patterns. - Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the systems development life cycle and project delivery life cycle. - Strong analytical skills with an aptitude of understanding complex business processes and functions. - Ability to challenge, recommend and redirect teams as necessary for successful project delivery. - Has a track record of aligning large groups of diverse stakeholders on project plans, risk mitigation, and issue resolution. - Ability to navigate significant business relationships and align where both parties achieve a win-win outcome. - Experience in agile project management best practices and tooling (JIRA and TFS preferred). - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
