Job Title: Service Now Developer Location: Manassas, VA Duration: contract In line with team objectives, policies, and procedures, to advise, lead, control and follow through design, development of specifications, coding, testing, and maintenance of high-quality application software, tools and development projects. - Design, develop, test, install and support programs/systems. Support projects proposals on the basis of cost/benefit justification interfacing with stakeholders across functional and geographical lines. - Meet with customers to understand needs and requirements and make recommendations on best practice systems solutions for small to medium size/complexity/risk projects. - Analyze detail systems factors: input/output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, alternative approaches, etc. - Validate alternative problem management proposals and make decisions on solutions. - Provide technical assistance to other SWIFT colleagues and assist in resolving problems reported by less senior team members. - Provide technical guidance to customers and act as a mentor to less senior team members. May give presentations to management and customers. - May prepare and complete systems documentation and operating procedures. - May lead design review meetings for small to medium size/complexity/risk projects. - May coordinate and monitor the activities, such as schedules and costs, of a small project team. - Evaluate and recommend technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed systems. - We would like to have a junior contractor with 2-5 years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform experience in ITSM, CMDB, Software Asset Management, ITOM modules. We want a local person who can be interviewed in person. Experience on Madris release ITBM or Performance Analytics, Automated Testing Framework is a bonus. This is a position for someone who has actual hands on experience on ServiceNow app development not administration. Just having worked in a company where ServiceNow is used does not qualify. - He/She should be able to work independently while coordinating with other team members and Professional Services people knowledgeable in ServiceNow. Good experience with Java Scripting and appropriate ServiceNow certifications and knowledge of ITIL processes are a bonus. - Candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, and a flexible & team oriented mentality. We have a global team and sometimes it would be required to work different hours. We also pair program and work closely as a team, so we will need someone who is comfortable with this way of working.
