Hi all,

New here, but been a developer for many a year.

Trying to put together a music player that will be able to output to
multiple audio interfaces. The end goal is to put out to 2 (or more) 2
channel USB DACs, or maybe the internal headphone socket and 1 or more 2
channel USB DACs. I know there is the option to use a multichannel (more
than 2) DAC, but that will limit what I am wanting to achieve in the long
run. i.e. I the possibility of adding more and more 2 channel DACs.

Having zero joy outputting the same source to multiple devices, I tried
multiple AudioTracks, setting the new (API 23) 'setPreferredDevice' ...but
all I get is output on the same. Checking getRoutedDevice after play
starts confirms that it just outputs to the last device I called the set on.

Am I hitting a limitation of the OS? Or specific hardware maybe (Nexus7
2013)?

Are there deeper avenues that might help me achieve what I desire?

Thanks in advance!

Ste
