Absolutely!  You'll be able to use the monkey to test your programs on both the 
emulator and real devices.
You may want to review the use of the -d and -e flags in the adb command, but 
the monkey itself is the same.
Also be careful when running the monkey on your "real" device;  The monkey can 
be very mischievous and do all sorts of unexpected things like texting your 
girlfriend or deleting your contacts.  You'll probably wish to use monkey's 
package & category options to keep it in its cage (keep it in your app).

you just have to connect your Real HTC Device to the PC (data cable) and run 
it from the Command Line, for example "adb shell monkey 10" 
this command suppose to send 10 randoms events to your Real Device....
