I just found my mistake.
It was the file that was faulty. I tried opening it in a amr player and the
same thing was happening.
But in general, is there any doc so that we come to know the meaning of the
error codes.

I have the same question. The error codes and "extra" values aren't
fully documented in the API Reference. From what I can tell the
"extra" values might not be that reliable, but if I knew what all of
the error codes and warning codes meant, I could do a much better job
of handling them.

all Ui functionality works with out changes.
but the playback of the wma is not happening
1.6apk on 1.6 emulator -- same result as above.
