on 1st execution of your app, you may copy your resource to the phone
filesystem :
FileOutputStream fos = this.openFileOutput("file_copy.raw",
MODE_PRIVATE);
fos.write(content_raw_file);
and then create a randomaccessfile from the copy :
RandomAccessFile raf = new RandomAccessFile(this.getFilesDir
().getAbsolutePath()+"/file_copy.raw", "r");
