Hi David.

We have manged to fix the problem by updating our references to Firebase 
and Google Play services libraries to 9.4.0 (previously they were 9.2.1). 
We have tested this and released updates and the problem is fixed. A user 
mentioned that clearing the Google Play services cache and data fixed the 
problem (without getting our new version).

i just enter a company in order to develope an app, and i need to INFORM 
the domains that i'm gonna use in my pc, so I.T. staff can give my ip 
adress the permissions needed. In summary i need all the domains that 
"android studio" and "sdk manager" use to download all the data needed.

i use a proxy too, so that you know, but they told me they are gonna give 
the permission to my ip adress

I want to develop an application where mute people can call anyone in the 
world. 

A little bit of explanation : 
- Mute people call someone
- For speaking, he must write a message in the application
- The application transform text into voice
- The voice is transmitted to the interlocutor.

But in Android 
(https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/media/mediaplayer.html) we 
couldn't play any media during a call. But is there any way to send the 
voice into the microphone in order to send it to the interlocutor ?

[android-developers] Gradle files out of sync?

I clicked to upgrade Android Studio and when it was finished, I got this 
message at the top of the editor:

"Gradle files have changed since last sync.  A project sync may be 
necessary or the IDE to work properly."

There is a link right there to "Sync Now" but it doesn't help the problem. 
 I also deleted .gradle and did an Invalidate and Restart.

I followed the few hints on Google, but I can't make this annoying bar go 
away, and I fear that my builds may not come out correctly.

Possibly related, I get a popup saying "External file changes sync may be 
slow".  My project was on NFS, but I went ahead and copied the project to 
the local drive, and I still get this error.  I'm wondering whether I can 
easily just obliterate this project and build it fresh in the eyes of 
Studio.

The Strategic Business Analyst skilled at to writing detailed specifications 
in Microsoft Word for a web application, “Design Tabulation”. This web 
application will be both internal and external to the DOT. This person will be 
working with Project Leads from the Office of Design as well as other offices 
within the DOT. This person will need to coordinate with these stake holders to 
get an understanding of the processes involved. This person will also have to 
work with the Highway Support Team to ensure that the specifications are 
following DOT IT standards.
This effort encompasses over 200 Design Tabs. Each Design tab has 
defined fields, datatypes, rules, requirements, calculations and other 
automated processes completed by the Project Leads. Each Design tab will work 
independently but be compiled into a Design Plan for a project number.

Same here. We have an app in play store for 6 years, working like a charm. 
Since the update to 9.6 we have same problems. Fun fact: Another app uses 
play services sdk 7.3 and its working (and similar build... .) on phones 
with 9.6. We really don't know whats happening.

[android-developers] Using integer Addition may get the wrong result on some android phones

I get a strange problem on some android phones, when I run the code below.

public void test(){
int num = 1;
for(int i=0;i<14;i++){
num = num+10;
}
System.out.println("num  "+num);
}

I expect the answer "141", but I get the wrong answer "200385" on the 
phone like MotoX 2ndGen, Xiaomi3, Xiaomi note etc.

The strangest thing is that I can get the right answer when I want to debug 
it, or complicate the code like

public void test(){
int num = 1;
for(int i=0;i<14;i++){
num = num+10;
System.out.println("num  "+num);
}
} 

or

public void test(){
int num1 = 1;
for(int i=0;i<14;i++){
num1 = num1+10;
}
System.out.println("num1  "+num1);
int num2 = 1;
for(int i=0;i<14;i++){
num2 = num2+10;
}
System.out.println("num2  "+num2);
}

or turn `int` to `long`, or make "10" to 100, it can get the right 
answer usually. So what is the reason behind this phenomenon? An integer 
overflow maybe?

supplement:
I test  Integer.SIZE 
 on 
the wrong phones is 32 , and the Integer.MAX_VALUE 
 is 
2147483647,as others.And I find that one of results would overflow on 
"131072" ，changing to binary is 2^17.And all of the wrong result occur on 
fourfold times in "for" code,like the fourth , the eighth etc.so why?

[android-developers] URL Encoding fails in Android API

Came across a strange problem when I try to encode a particular string. It 
the String contains a value P=29 then the encoded URL fails using HTTP GET 
with Android web service call using AsyncTask. The same happens when I use 
the same encoded URL on Google Chrome browser for Android (Version 51 & 
52). This is surprising because:
(i) the same encoded URL works with Desktop/Laptop Chrome browser
(ii) any of the following combination works: P=19, P=30, P=28, P=029, P= 29 
etc.

Tested on: 
Motorola Moto E (2nd Generation) : Android 5.0.2, 
Lenovo K3 Note (K50a40): Android 5.0

Is it a bug with Android platform or I am missing something?

[android-developers] App update rejected based on false copyright infringements

If I had enough money I would travel to visit Google HQ in person to meet
John and Justin. My app (Wood V) updates are being rejected because they
say it contains "League of Legends logo". And it doesn't. I've email them 6
times. SIX TIMES, proving Riot gives permission for developers to use art
assets:

PLEASE DO

- Think outside the box
- Think of ways for players to evaluate and improve their own gameplay
- Think of ways to connect players with their friends
- Blow our minds (it’s encouraged)
- *Feel free to use any of our art assets from the game (but NOT any

I've even sent them a PDF with ARROWS, designed for a 5 years old kid to
understand my app, in each activity, doesn't have any League of Legends
logo, I just use ART ASSETS LIKE CHAMPION SQUARES. There are LOTS of
running and perfectly fine apps out there with this same content.

What can I do? I can't hold my patience any more, I've sent them another
email today, I hope this time is different.

[android-developers] Positive reviews being removed please help

Hi,

One of our girls games app got about 1091 reviews,then when the installs 
went down i am now seeing google removing all the good reviews , the review 
are from all over the world with so many languages, why is google doing 
this, can google actually remove the view of some one who puts forward 
their views with out informing those users of the removal, no as of today i 
have 991 reviews left, why does google does this...

In a way we will never be able to compete with big players if genuine good 
reviews for our apps keep getting deleted , can some one help suggest on 
this , the reviews are absolutely critical ...

For example one of the users , used our app and appreciated it along with 
making a valid suggestions, why was that removed ...

[android-developers] Latest version of Google Play services (9.6.80) causing problems

Hi.

Since the latest update of Google Play services (Sep. 12th), 9.6.80, we 
have started receiving errors from several users of an app published on 
Google Play that the app is not working any more, it lags the phone and 
some memory managers report this and kill the application. We have searched 
for release notes to the latest version of Google Play services but could 
not find anything - the last version for which there are release notes is 
9.4.

Our app uses Google location services to detect the users current location 
and has been running without problems for years. The problems started with 
the latest release of Google play services.

Does anyone know about this?

[android-developers] eBook app development

I'm trying to develop an eBook reader app. Following things I need 
1. Whole book content entered at once. I can't enter page by page 
2. Flip page feature along with zoom etc 

After some research I could find that having it read through epub format is a 
solution, but unable to find good epub reader source code. 


Has anyone developed eBook apps in the past?
