[android-developers] Camera Access through WebView

2011-02-16 Thread perumal316
Hi All,

Is it possible to invoke the camera through a WebView instance?

Can HTML5 be used? I want to have a Android Web App which can access
the Camera Hardware in the Android phone. Can this be done?

Regards,
Perumal

Hi Sogan,

Thanks for the info. But the links does not offer a solution. Has this been
done? Or Camera API access through browser will only be available in future
releases of Android?

Perumal

You may want to try phonegap, I believe they have camera support, and
they're open source.
