 have this same code (above) and it works just fine on my emulator (SDK
 0.9) but when I run it on a G1 it crashes when this Intent is

127.0.0.1 is localhost, which, in this case, would be the emulator itself.

If you are trying to access something on the computer hosting the 
emulator, try using the non-localhost IP address.
