*Job Roles / Responsibilities:       *

- 7+ years of experience in SQL Database

- The Database Administrator is responsible for supporting applications and
databases deployed.

- Most applications are reliant on a properly configured and running
database to function properly.

- This resource will work closely with other members of the Database
administration team members of the technical infrastructure team (server
storage network security teams etc.) application development teams
enterprise architecture vendors as well as with IT business liaisons to
ensure smooth operations of applications and databases within the
environment.



Roles & Responsibilities :

Day to day SQL Server administration Application administration and support.

- Support of HANA and other smaller installed databases.

- Experience with Data warehouse maintenance and performance trouble
shooting.

- Installing new databases and upgrade existing installation to support
business requirements.

- Research and resolve database software and operating issues.

- Monitor systems and proactively respond to issues.

- Ensure that configuration of databases includes appropriate security
setup for internal and/or external databases. - Work with business partners
to schedule maintenance and communicate incidents.

- Independently troubleshoot problem tickets and work with vendors to
rectify issues.

- Database software patching and day-to-day management.

- Perform off hours on call support on a rotating basis.

- Support the capturing and reporting of data access metrics.

- Monitor database utilization and database space consumption trends.

- Manage increasing capacity of database data files.

- Develop and support data cleanup monitoring archiving procedures.

- Support and refresh test environments to support business support needs.

- Support and refresh dev/test environments to support business support
needs.

- Support the backup and recovery of corporate data.

- Research and implement new trends and advances in database solutions and
practices.

- Help create strategic roadmaps for database technologies.

- Aid with disaster recovery planning and testing.

- Work collaboratively with app dev teams as well as infrastructure teams.

- Experience with the recent versions of Microsoft SQL Server (2012 2014
2016 2017 & 2019).

- Experience with data backup recovery and SQL Server maintenance using SQL
back up lightspeed and DD boost.

- Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting.

- Experience with database replication technologies.

- Must have a sense of urgency in meeting project and task deadlines and in
resolving production issues.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.

- Must demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter.

- Must have a thorough understanding of change management concepts.
