I finally fixed a problem I was having with install/update of Apps installed on my SD card on my NexusOne with Froyo installed reported as Android issue 9593 (http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail? id=9593). It turns out that there is a file called smdl2tmp1.asec in the SD card app2sd directory (/mnt/secure/asec) that was causing the problem (see the bug report for details).
My question is: What is this file (smdl2tmp1.asec) used for and why doesn't the system erase it when finished with it? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
