*Role : SR/LEAD DevOps engineer (10+years)* *Location : Bellevue, WA* *Duration : 6+ months* *Interview : Phone and Skype* *USC,GC,EAD-GC,TN* · *Full Tech Screening* · *10yrs + exp: 5yrs in Release/Deployment and 3+ yrs hands on development of automated solutions.* · *Strong coding (Python, Powershell)* · *Cloud technologies (AWS/Openstack), Virtualization* · *TFS, Jenkins, Chef/Ansible, Perforce, Jira, Windows and Linux platforms* · Client is looking for a Release Engineer who has a lot of experience working with Automation and Monitoring tools. · Having Experience with Chef is a must. · The Release Engineering Team is driven to deliver superior release delivery to our customers, continually and flawlessly.A DevOps Engineer is required for driving build automation and continuous delivery for the company Worldwide Engineering. · Engineer will be working as an innovator and thought leader in the build and delivery space. · Automation leading enabling continuous delivery will be a primary focus in support of build and deployment mechanisms throughout multiple environments. · You will work with teams including Release Management, Operations, Production Engineering, Test, and Development to ensure end-to-end solutions are designed and implemented to simplify and make build and delivery mechanisms reliable, transparent, scalable and transportable. · Bring your Release Engineering creativity, passion, and innovative experience and be ready to proactively function on a highly visible team in a fast paced environment. *Summary of essential job functions* • Aggressively become a critical team member by quickly learning our current workflows, build technologies, automation, and challenges. • Design, implement, and maintain continuous build and deployment delivery mechanisms, leveraging innovative programmatic solutions and automation. • Proactively identify and drive automation of tasks associated with end-to-end deployment delivery. • Take initiative in discovering existing and new challenges pertaining to build and deployment for our customers, seeking to improve, resolve, and streamline tools and processes to meet delivery challenges. • Function as a team member supporting our organization by driving the end-to-end stability and availability of tools and environments used by our customers to support build and deployment. • Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams outlining automated solutions and environmental architecture. *Minimum requirements* • 5+ years Release/Deployment/Application Engineering Experience. • 3+ years’ experience developing and automating solutions directly related to Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery • Strong coding experience with Python and PowerShell. • Experience with Team Foundation Server, Jenkins, Chef/Ansible, Perforce, Jira. • Experience with Java, Tomcat, and IIS. • Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS/Openstack) • Extensive experience working with Windows and Linux platforms. • Experience with Branching Strategies and Methodologies. • Experience working with Virtualization (HyperV, VMWare). • Experience working in and supporting an enterprise ecommerce environment • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as innovation and creativity. • Strong written and verbal skills.Strong collaboration skills • Experience working independently, as well as in a team environment, proactively driving initiatives and work tasks meeting agreed delivery time lines * Extended requirements* • Experience working with MS SQL and My SQL. • Additional scripting and programming knowledge such as XML, XSL, CURL, ASP, VBScript, PERL – those pertaining to web technologies. • Fundamental understanding of Network and Load Balancing technologies. • Experience with SCOM monitoring platform. • Experience with Splunk and Akamai Technologies.
