The Professional Services Software Engineer designs, builds, and supports
custom software solutions for some of the world’s largest retailers. We

This opportunity will support TCxGravity, our newest software platform for
connected consumer experiences across any device, from any location.



Our developers are often involved in the entire project lifecycle: they
interact directly with our retail customers to understand and document
requirements; they collaborate with the implementation and test teams on
design and development; and, they oversee delivery and provide ongoing
support for their work.

*Responsibilities:*



This role requires demonstrated experience with the Java and web
technologies that drive TCxGravity (POS) solutions. The ideal candidate
will excel in our fast-paced, collaborative, customer-first environment and
will contribute in a variety of ways, including:

·         Providing technical guidance during requirements workshops with
our customers

·         Authoring functional specifications and/or high-level designs

·         Developing new custom function and assisting with defect support

·         Extending the automation / continuous integration platform,
including tests

·         Closely working with the QA team to ensure a quality deliverable

·         Providing configuration, installation, and ongoing maintenance
support

·         Mentoring

*Required Skills & Experience:*

·         This role requires demonstrated experience with the Java and web
technologies that drive TCxGravity solutions.

·         The candidate will use these technologies to develop new custom
functionality for our retail customers and will provide support to the QA
team as well as ongoing defect support.

·         Required skills include core Java, JavaScript, and HTML+CSS;
experience with Eclipse, Maven, Sprint, dojo, and Selenium/Cucumber
preferred.

·         A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a
related field, or equivalent professional experience

·         Exceptional written and verbal communication

·         At least 2 years of Java development, including web-based content

·         Proficiency with JavaScript & HTML/CSS standards

·         Computer science fundamentals including object-oriented concepts,
data structures and related algorithms

·         Web application and server concepts, especially WebSphere, JBOSS,
and/or WebLogic

·         Familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle and
methodologies

·         Proficiency with Windows-based systems, including software
installation & light administration

*Preferred Skills & Experience*

·         Technology: Spring, dojo, Selenium/Cucumber

·         Familiarity with retail concepts and/or applications

·         Experience with retail POS devices and JavaPOS and/or 4690OS
