Hello everyone,
I would need a suggestion on what could be the best way to proceed with the
development of my project.
The situation is as follows:
- I have an external device connected via physical serial (uart) to a
terminal with Android 7.1.
- The external device sends and receives data via serial asynchronously.
- The android terminal must be able to receive data and send these data
received to other devices and applications.
- The applications that subsequently will be implemented must be able to
send data via serial.

My idea was a background service that received and sent data via serial.
This service would be able to communicate with the low level (do not know
what permissions do I enable ..) and It can receive data from applications.

Do you have any possible suggestions (example) from which I could leave?

Thanks in advance

Alessandro
