Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution in support of IT changes to business processes. May participate in change control processes and approvals, particularly at more experienced levels. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Documents all problems communicating the issue to development staff to assist in their resolution. Deliver quality and testing process training to IT staff and project teams and perform quality and testing audits across the various IT functions to ensure adherence to quality and testing standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed properly and consistently. The Principal QA Analyst acts as team leader with strong leadership skills and ability to build high performance work teams for solution testing. This individual also coordinates the work activities and results with the offshore leader of an outsourced testing organization that will offset capacity issues during time periods with heavy project loads.
