Apache SkyWalking Team is glad to announce the first release of Apache
SkyWalking 7.0.0.

SkyWalking: APM (application performance monitor) tool for distributed
systems,
especially designed for microservices, cloud native and container-based
(Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos) architectures.

This release contains a number of new features, bug fixes and improvements
compared to
version 6.6.0. The notable changes since 7.0.0 include:

1. SkyWalking provides *code-level performance profile feature* for the
production environment. It *fixes the blind spot of distributed tracing*.
As far as we know, we are the first one doing this in the open source APM
solution in the world.
2. SkyWalking support InfluxDB as a new storage option.
3. JDK 1.6 and 1.7 are not supported, but users could still choose
SkyWalking 6.x released agent for old JDK versions.
4. Enhance the topology map in the official UI.
