Request for Resumes - Membership Coordinator

 

The Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA) seeks a
self-driven, detail oriented individual, with an organizational background
to be employed in order to enhance and maintain the 850+ members of WISPA.

 

Location: Within United States, must have high speed Internet capability.
You may work from home as long as in a professional environment for phone
calls, or in an established office. No allocation for an office is included.

 

Conditions: Flexible 40 hours per week, no benefits, and subsidy allowed for
Internet connection, fixed phone line supplied by WISPA.  Some travel will
be required at times for up to 7 days, all travel and related costs are paid
by WISPA.  Must have a smart phone capable of communicating images.  A
literate command of the English language both spoken and written is
required.

 

Description: Membership coordinator reports directly to the Director of
Operations (D.O.O.).  Knowledge and comprehension of WISPA computer systems,
specialty software, online systems, and other methods of communication in
order to coordinate all membership activities after training.  This includes
but is not limited to solicitation (including some cold calling) for new
members, actively initiating membership drives at WISPA shows, independent
of shows, at partner shows. Looking at online leads for potential new
members and innovating programs to enhance the value of belonging to WISPA.
Also included is attending various committee meetings and coordinating
projects while performing various administrative tasks as assigned by the
D.O.O.

Another requirement is attendance at a minimum of the two week-long major
shows WISPA hosts yearly. Solicitation calls, emails, postcards, etc. prior
to shows helps to boost attendance and attending the shows, working to
independently build programs that will enhance membership, assist with the
task of running the shows.

 

Members include individual Wireless Providers, vendors of equipment,
consulting or other services to our members.  All renewal, upgrade,
maintenance, and other questions will be answered promptly by this position.
Background check, confidentiality and non-compete agreements, will also be
applied to this position.
