Jonathan, you are not the only orchard to experience severe apple maggot damage this past season. I don't believe any consensus has been arrived at as to when or how. In some cases it has been felt to have been early damage. In others it has mainly impacted later varieties such as Cortland,

Hello Fellow Growers, We are doing the same thing as Jim Bittner.everything applied on a per acre basis using 50 gallons per acres except for 100 gallons for the thinners and oil. We have all high density plantings and have had very satisfactory results. Best Regards, Kurt W.
