My home orchard of very young trees (basically not bearing fruit yet) also
got hit by the hail and wind and it looks like someone went through and cut
most of the leaves with scissors

Bees did not evolve living in square boxes, and for a human to believe he
can think like a bee is probably somewhat shortsighted also that is only one
adjustment in the way they have to live. It may not be mistreatment but what
about poisoning, loss of native flowering habitat,genetically altered
I agree, once the bees are weakened and there immune system compromised I
suspect they would be very susceptible to many pathogens,viruses, and
general illnesses.
