I remember sending another message several days about file expansion ratio with
uuencode and base64, explaining why it was 4/3.  Base64 alphabet has 64 text
characters, and three bytes of the file to be attached, 24 bits, are encoded
into four characters, 32 bits acting as 24, in base64.  Each base64 character is
really 8 bytes acting as 6.

But an FTP upload is really better than email if you can do it.  I once did an
FTP upload, but that was from OS/2 command line, so I haven't done an FTP upload
from DOS.
