P.S. I've lost my "smooth scroll" again for some reason. It's set that
way, I went in and set it again, saved & used new ... but no smooth
scroll even on short pages with emptied cache before loading.

With the environment news at http://ens.lycos.com, this behavior varies among
pages at the same site. Some scroll smoothly, horizontally or vertically, and
others blank and redraw. I prefer the smooth scrolling. One thing I notice
visiting http://ens.lycos.com is that I seem to always get the current page, not
the previous one in the cache. This is in contrast to the weather pages linked
from http://iwin.nws.noaa.gov/iwin/textversion.html, where I usually get the
previous pages, unless I have been doing a lot of browsing with Arachne to put
the weather pages below no. 256 (I presume) in the cache ranking. I suppose
anything in the cache beyond no. 256 is really dead wood?
