Re: flying pigs

Hi list:
One of those 'new' machines is an IBM XT circa 1985 ;-)

No HDD, just a pair of 360k 5.25 floppies.

She still works just fine and came complete with MCGA monitor
plus both IBMDos v2.0 and Lotus123 on floppy.
(even got the 'tutorial program' for Lotus123) :))

We have one of these on the shelf . even sent a posting to Arachne
list a few months back from it using telnet into our local ISP.
Our webmaster still allows this from a direct dialin.
I have hopes of convincing him to permit SSH logins relayed from other
ISPs

Bye

Glenn:

Just checked out your computer room project on your site--EXCELLENT! :) I
was very happy to see that many IBMs (PS/2s aren't they?) in one place. Now
I don't feel so bad about my 16-18 PS/2s and all those 8512 monitors :)

(gotta' get busy and upload some more photos)

I've added 5 more machines and a set of shelves full of assorted parts
since I last updated that page.

Do they like the taste/smell of them or what?

My flying pig comes almost every time I get a round tuit.

Well, they showed up early this AM. Perched on the deck rails ... seemed
to be well interested in the prospect of leftover malt liquor. Not much
left though, just the dregs.

Roundtuit will work for dregs, flying pig seems more interested in
leftover cat food.

Whatever works.

That d*** stuff evaporates REALLY fast, doesn't it...

Noted. Now to find some... oh, bother.

 Whatever works.

I was afraid of that.

I know a lot of things that don't work, especially with the round tuits.

Won't one of them do?
