Nope, if you're writing or speaking English it's viruses. But we've
been through that before.

And we've been through the how do I get off this list blues over
and over--which goes to show that we're getting new people here all
the time.

So for their benefit: The unsubscribe function of the program that
runs this mailing list is broken. It's been broken for almost a year.
(Maybe longer)

Only the owner and list maintainer can fix this problem and he's
busy and not paying attention. Recently he said that he could
unsubscribe people manually--so write to him directly and beg and
plead and he might get you off the list.

His name is Michael Polak and you can reach him directly by

Also, his various phone numbers are listed at the Arachne website.
Give him a call if you can.

Hi Paula,

Here are the unsub instructions.
http://www.cisnet.com/glennmcc/unsub.htm

All but the very last part applies.
You will not be unsubbed for failing to follow those intructions.

In-fact. you will not be unsubbed even if you *do* follow them.

Guess what ???

You are TRAPPED on this list until such time as Michael says
that you can leave. :(((

My thoughts exactly.

One interesting thing about our list - other than lifetime (and beyond)
membership - is that we receive all the latest viruses (or was that
virii) and worms, plus an offer for just about every con know to man.
This is a good place to become acquainted with literally every version of
Nigerian scam letters and all the other internet garbage that you can
only occasionally read about in another email list.

If your job is internet security, then this is email heaven.

If you just wanted to simply exchange a few emails with some friends and
not be bothered by junk mail, well ... this is the other place.

BUT ... you should stick around for a few days (as if you had an
alternative) while you play with the Arachne web browser (and off-line
viewer, and DOS shell). If you like Arachne, then this is the place to
get all your questions answered.

If you REALLY want out, send a personal note to Michael Polak at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and BEG him to remove you from the list.

Welcome.

Bob ~
