That's mostly my fault. I had requested that server down in SEA but did not
resume my activities. Otherwise, I would've been building stuff all
the time with
the sub-100ms latencies, which is real-time now compared to the
2-300ms I get on Soyuz.

But I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who benefits.

I also use(d) the build server non-interactively with scripts for pushing and
queuing packages for builds, pulling them, signing and releasing.
I intend(ed) to do the same on sgp, although I was more excited to
stay logged in.

OK so the same box now hosts a mirror and a build environment.

Ahh, too bad I noticed this late. I am one of those forced on to
Windows and it has really taken a toll on my packaging duties.

I would have liked to see this materialize, but I guess the other
suggestion about building off of another image is OK too.

Just to confirm, are these going to be dropped despite being required
by maintained packages?

Your findings are also reflected in the wiki [1] and I would say drop
it. But it is required by kodi-eventclients for
kodi-eventclients-wiiremote component, which you will have to remove.
Anyone using Kodi with a Wiimote will lose functionality, but they can
check if Xwiimote works as well for them.
