Now I feel stupid. I just put a fresh 2020.06 image on a stick and it
booted fine.
After looking a bit closer I found that I have 2 USB sticks attached.
Both come up as Sandisk Partition 1. I just used the wrong one which
still had the 2020.05 image on it.

So, thx Dave. You fixed the 2020.05 problem for me too.

btw I found a good korean place. We still wanted to meet sometime. ;)

Hi,

as Python2 has been sunset since the beginning of this year
(https://www.python.org/doc/sunset-python-2/) I'm looking forward to
removing it. One of the packages still depending on python2 is wesnoth,
though due to https://wiki.wesnoth.org/Maintenance_tools it should work
with Python3 already. Of course, this should work, since Python3 is
installed already besides Python2, but it seems to be an unnecessary
dependency. Instead, the dependency should be updated to python.

so, why do you just don't file a bug report?

Regards
Bjoern

Just because I don't have an account and don't want to create one every
three years again or require a new password. Also, as I'm rarely looking
at package definitions, I still may be wrong, so it'd be preferred if
somebody else could have a look at this (somebody with more knowledge
about packages maintenance).

Kind regards,
Peter

Hi Ricardo,

hm, that's an odd one. Are you sure that you have been booting 2020.06?
There has been a bug related to dhcpcd [1], that led to archiso not
booting correctly [2].
However, I since have replaced dhcpcd with systemd-networkd as the
default on the image (which currently due to DNSSEC related
configuration options still has its own problems, but I digress). This
change is on the 2020.06 image and others have reported this to work for
them.

If you can, attach a debug shell (add `systemd.debug-shell=1` to your
kernel cmdline parameters by editing the boot entry) and get some more
info on what is going wrong.

Best,
David
