Just a note. When you install kde4, the kleopatra certificate is
installed
without the needed dependency 'dirmngr'. When you first run kleopatra, you
will get the error. Do you want me to open a ticket, or is this email enough?

removal script that
restores alsa works as it is supposed to. Alsa restored, module loaded and
sound is back to normal (although with a cool mixer in kde 4.3.4)

in the scripts and I write the comments in
the scripts telling you it isn't necessary but to do it anyway as a matter of
good form. Very few understand the subshell rule, but if you always reset IFS,
you will always be OK :p

automation -- but long ago I realized that there a whole lot of other people
out there that just don't think like me :p

incompatibility between lightning and enigmail are fully true, i.e.
have both add-ons enabled and you'll loose some text in your menu,
disable either and everything looks good again. Irritating indeed!
