Hi All,
I'm trying to run the archivesspace daemon from a systemd unit file but I'm
getting an odd delay. If I start archivesspace manually by running "$ sudo
archivesspace.sh start" things run normally, but when I start archivesspace
from systemctl then any operation on port 8080 delays from 10
Hello-
When I go to delete a user account, I get the following warning:

This action will remove the record from the database, including any references
it has to other records.
Does this have an effect on the data in
Rebecca,
Ah, thanks; I didn't notice that detail earlier this morning. It must be that
the collection name is part of the top container record, then, and that's
indexed as part of the component record (and that would be the reason why
component 6 shows up, since it has both collection names
Thanks for the information Mark! With regards to sandbox example, the Samuel
D. Rockenbach Papers actually has four components
(http://public.archivesspace.org/repositories/2/resources/1319), but "Component
Four" is not being retrieved with that search (only Components 1-3 are showing
up).
Thanks for all the feedback and offers of help!
I’m going to talk to Christine and Laney hopefully sometime this week, and then
we can get started for real. I think Dave’s on the right track that the first
thing would be to gather a corpus of examples/functionality that we’d like to
include.
Rachel,

This is an idea we've toyed around with as well--I'm sure one or more of us
could contribute, too. Keep us posted!

Thank you everyone, for your responses. We don't have any IT staff in our
library, so while the OAI-PMH looks interesting, I'm not sure we'll have the
ability to take advantage of it. I'll keep an eye out for updates that the
ticket is being slated for development.

Christine,
I don’t know if it was our server running slow or something, but I just tested
our first initial upgrade to 2.1.0 from 2.0, and the indexing took almost a
full week. In the past it used to take 36-48 hours and we could be done over
the weekend.
I think I’d like to test everything
Thanks Mark! That's exactly what I was looking for.

Dan,
That feature should be configurable. At least, I know for sure that it was
configurable when this feature was in a plugin, but since our hosted is still
reporting linear feet, not inches (which I believe is the default, as you’ve
noted), I’m quite sure this option still exists (I just
Hi Christine,
Thanks for your response, but I'm not sure I understand. Since only one
extent dimension is allowed, the calculator only tells me the linear
measurement (height, width, *or *depth) of the boxes. I'm looking for the
cubic measurement (height, with, *and* depth). Unless I'm missing
