[Archivesspace_Users_Group] external linking to PUI search results
Hi all, We are looking for the most effective way to link externally to a query that pulls all records tagged with a particular subject in the PUI. The catch is that we want to query on the authority ID of the subject, rather than the subject URI. For example, if we have a local subject term with authority ID "A12345", we want to search on A12345 and share the results. The shortest link we've come up with is: https://[our repository]/search?op%5B%5D=&q%5B%5D=A12345 A couple questions: - Is there another workaround that would give us more human-readable results? - Would a link like this work persistently or is there the likelihood of it changing with version updates? [Archivesspace_Users_Group] Digital Object images not embedding
Hi all, I'm trying to embed an image in a Digital Object record and am encountering some issues. I have two File URI sub records with the same URI; one of them has the "embed" option selected for the Xlink Show Attribute field, and the other (identical) URI functions as the destination of the link. The destination URI is working properly, but ArchivesSpace is unable to display the thumbnail image using the same URI. However, when I pull another image URI from the web for the thumbnail, the issue disappears. Is there a way to address this, and does anyone know what might be causing the issue? [Archivesspace_Users_Group] Bulk importing child container barcodes
Hi all, I'm wondering if there is a way to bulk import child container barcodes into ArchivesSpace. I'm using the spreadsheet importer <https://github.com/archivesspace/archivesspace/tree/master/templates> and only see a barcode field for the top container. Is anyone aware of a workaround for this? [Archivesspace_Users_Group] Using request button in PUI
Hi all, I work for a small repository that doesn’t use request management software like Aeon. We'd like to begin using the Request button in the ArchivesSpace PUI to receive and manage user requests. Would anyone who is currently using it be willing to share their internal workflows and any instructions they’ve created for users? [Archivesspace_Users_Group] upgrading to new release
Hi all, I have a simple question- if we have followed instructions for upgrading to a new release of ArchivesSpace ( https://archivesspace.github.io/archivesspace/user/upgrading-to-a-new-release-of-archivesspace/), are we clear to remove any previous installation directories? We currently have a single tmp file (jetty-0.0.0.0-8089-backend.war-_-any-) in an old version folder (v 2.6.0) that has for some reason ballooned in size (4.5 GB) and would like to remove it without repercussions.
