The results of the NRO’s 2013 Global IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey are now available. This is the fourth global survey to be run and establishes that most organizations recognize the importance of transitioning to IPv6.

Approximately 1,515 respondents from 131 economies participated in this year’s survey. The findings show that organizations are seeing client uptake of IPv6, and that they are increasingly promoting IPv6 to their customers. 80 percent of respondents plan to deploy IPv6 within two years or sooner. Of that group, over half already offer IPv6 to their customers.

The survey was funded by the European Commission and conducted by GNKS Consult. The survey was prepared and carried out by GNKS in close collaboration with AFRINIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC and the RIPE NCC.
