Does anyone have idea about the singer who sang the initial part of the song?
Its a female part. Rendition reminds me of legendary singer K.B.Sundarambal,
obviously nowhere near to her. Credits mention about Harini and Sangeetha. (Who
is Sangeetha?)

I found this comment by K.S. Ravikumar quite interesting that ARR is not keen
to compose romantic songs (duets). as far as I see it is not that true but at
the same time not too wrong either.

Rawatji,
If you are referring to the lyrics, then I am not sure how much of an
influence ARR would have on it. Also the song conceptualization is a
director's job and the MDs job is to deliver to that concept. So if in Taal,

One of the joys of following ARR's music over the past 2 decades has been
the fact that he delivers the unexpected. The unexpected might be pleasant

Also, it is the No.1 Grossing HOLLYWOOD movie now!! Grand!!
ARR is a household name in the U.S.
To an extent it is true. Coz, I remember once when ARR mentioned Its all
about experimenting and composing FRESH things in every new score. I dont
want to stick to the formula, and it would be really boring for a composer
to do the same thing in every film, composing the Hero-Heroine Duets over
Very much happy to hear.

Hey Rajib,I understand your eagerness to see ARR, but you also need to realise that everyone here including Gopal Vijay have their own things to take care. You need to appreciate them for moderating this group religiously apart from their personal work which is keeping this group alive
There had been very beautiful romantic duets later to Jeans as well.
Tu bin bataye is the most fav duet there's no dancing and acting funnily in
that song. Kismat se tum from Pukaar is executed very beautifully. Why would
somebody forget Tere bina from Guru, baadal from Yuva, Azhage Sugama
I totaly agree dude. ARR, we can say is one of the best versatile
