I find it funny how people are having hard time liking the songs. Not to
pin-point any person, from what I've noticed is that there are two kind of
people who didnt like Raavan songs -
a. People who said they dont get vintage Rahman compositions as they used to
get in 90s. They want songs simi
Got this Slumdogs CD yesterday. IMO not a decent effort. Jai Ho version is
quite bad.. wonder about the purpose of this release. Let me not say anything

Yes Rawat - I tend to agree with your observation. This is happening lately
with quite a few ARR songs where the vocals aren't powerful and they seem to be
layered as one more track in the composition. Is it because of lack of
vocalists such as SPB, Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Sukhi? Al
ARR and Blaaze go a long way more than just music, Blaaze adds the modern RAP
style to ARR's soulful music so ARR must use Blaaze for more of his
compositions.
Blaaze was recently very effective and good in KURAL ( Connections )and a very
very talented person.

I have tested this many times on good speakers, through headphones, best sound
quality, etc. and no doubt, there are distinct volume differences in some of
the arrangement tracks between Veeras and Beera.
Veeras' claps and bass lines are significantly louder, leading to a fuller

Thanks - some of us are planning to go to all 3 of the East coast concerts (NY,
NJ and DC). Anyone else doing all 3?
Hopefully some of the songs will be different in each of the concerts as I am
sure there will be many going to multiple concerts.

I was in Chennai this week. Everyone I called or received a phone call in my
presence seemed to have a Raavanan ring tone or caller tune. Chennai seems
to have succumbed to this gem of an album!!

I alluded to this in my reviews of Raavan, but it's very clear...the Veera
versions have a much higher clap, bass guitar, and small rhythm volumes vs. the
Hindi Beera version. When you listen to the first minute of Beera, you will
notice some very faint claps and a bass guitar sound, which both
