Hailing the historic triple Oscar win, Bachchan wrote on his blog, "My
warmest and heartiest congratulations to A R Rahman and Resul for winning
recognition in music and sound and to Gulzar for co-assisting Rahman in the
lyrical category."

The superstar said that it was the happiest day for the Indians and the film
industry.

"International recognition for Indian film talent on one of the most well
known and popular forums is the happiest day and the industry. The journey
of Indian Cinema has been phenomenal," Bachchan added on his blog.

It was a twin win for Chennai-born Rahman, as he took home two trophies
first in the Best Original Score category for his music in "Slumdog
Millionaire" and the second which he had won along with lyricist Gulzar for
song "Jai Ho" from the same film.

Ironically, just a few days ago Bachchan wrote on his blog criticising
"Slumdog Millionaire" for glorifying the poverty and the slums of Mumbai.

However, the actor later retracted back on his statements and the post was
immediately scraped off his blog.
