And what's the meaning of "his kind of music"? Well what you really missed was those impressive Ad jingles by the very same Dileep who is no other than AR himslef. It was the same Dileep who impressed Mani Ratnam. You might have also read that AR as Dileep had shocked many veteran composers who by then had predicted that this young AR (Dileep) will grow to the greater heights in music. Dileep was none other than the budding AR Rahman. Your stance to pull out Kamini Mathai's quote is equally disappointing as I considered her writing on AR was much to do with AR's religious matter than the man himself.
