Hi Rick,
One approach would be to build some workflow to populate a field with the
Approver(s) that you could use in a custom Approval process.
As there are Approval fields (Hidden) already on the Change request form,
you can re-use these to place in the Approver(s) into this field where the

In windows the host id is the MAC address and you see the hexadecimal string in
license console not the decimal.
Forgot to mention I was on Windows 2008.

Depending on what you are using for the virtual server control in Windows 2008
you should be able to set what the virtual environment gets for the MAC
address. That would change the value ARS retrieves.

Go to the Service Level Management Console.
Click on the Service Targets Tab
Click Create
Select CI Unavailability under Applies To field
Under Goal Type you want to select CI Outage
Fill out the rest of the information as

I am pretty sure there is a way to do this, but it's currently eluding me.
We want to associate CIs (Business Processes) to a Change Request, and have
a person associated with that CI to be automatically included in the
Approval notification process for that RFC.

We have dealt with many customers for their successful upgrade from 7.0.3 ITSM
, 7.5 ARS to 8.1 ARS/ITSM. I would suggest to go with Parallel Upgrade rather
than In Place upgrade , the reason being that your existing environment may not
be well equipped to deal with 8.1 version effectively
