Hey Carl :)
Christopher - Don't have much to add to what Carl stated really; he is
obviously planning a book on the history of Remedy monitoring tools!
Just like to reinforce his point around hosting your monitoring tool in the app
its monitoring - it's a bad idea!

Hi, I agree with LJ here, if you are testing the midtier backchannel API a
handful of different users will help you avoid any caching problem, if you are
testing the API then it becomes less important.
One thing to be aware of is session handling and generalising unique IDs for

Delay-Recache-Time
The number of seconds before the latest cache is

The recommended value is 300 (5 minutes).

Maybe a tool which injects an api transaction to mimic end users would be good
here Howard? I can think of a few commercial options or maybe just a small java

Hello to all,

I agree with Lj, in my experience the two tools noted will give the best
results.
I have seen many companies try and fail with other tools, the Remedy

Please contact me if you want any more advice on automated Remedy testing.

Jamie, I would be very cautious trying to make this tool work with Remedy I
have seen customers disappear down a black hole with automated test tools and
the Remedy protocol.
Best to use something designed for purpose.
The 2 tools Lj pointed out work very well.
