Not sure, but it sounds almost like you have an AL that happens on open
that's causing issues..you could always try using the ViewFormServlet as an
alternative

I have constructed the URL exactly like that on a very simple form that has
a single Default Administrator View, and when I log in, the form opens in
another window that pops up
I just want to verify that I could use this to call a form in direct access in

The URL is ok only concern is that you need to provide the username
passsword.
For the direct access, the URL would be --
