Hello everyone, I thought I would let everyone know what the problem was.
I troubleshooted the Roles issue again, and after moving backwards through
the Role to the Group and then the User record, I found that the Role I was
having trouble with was mapped to a Group that was set to View instead
Patrick, Autocorrect strikes again!
Thank you for your suggestion. I may have a couple of alternatives to try
first.
My newly created test App can't see any of the Roles imported from the old
server. The imported App can't see the newly created test Role. It's very,
uh, interesting.

I don't feel very smart right now - of course I can't see the Role that I
created in my test app in my old app. That's the way it's supposed to work.
So I created a new test Role in my old app and the problem was solved. So
now I back to either manually recreating all the app's roles, or
Thank you Ray, that is a good suggestion. I've done it, si, mucho.
When I left Friday, I was trying to add a Role to an existing App, but
couldn't seem to figure it out. I was able to add a role to a new app no
problem.

Misi, the app is in Production state. I've checked the Group, Role, and
User forms and the data exists...the user is there, the group is there, the
user is part of the group, the Role exists and the fields in question have
the role on them.

** Patrick, you're probably right, but I didn't want to have to take an iffy
system through two upgrades. Plus there are many time and resource
constraints.

Hello everyone, can someone help me with some troubleshooting.
I've imported a small custom app from our 6.3 server to a new install of
7.6.4 on Windows servers. I recreated and applied (hopefully) my main
permission group (computed) and role that all objects have and that all
users must belong
Hi,
Do you have your app in status Dev/Test/Prod?
Have you checked the Group, Role and User forms to validate the data?
