Is it safe to assume that you installed both 32-bit and 64-bit Java and selected the 32-bit JVM for AREmail? If you use the 64-bit JVM for AREmail it will not be able to connect using MAPI. When I was testing 7.5 and 7.6.03 on Windows 2008 R2 x64 (which we abandoned, returning to Server 2003
