We are have several issues with the CMDB. We have cleaned up a lot of them,
but as we clean up one issue another pops up. We are on an upgrade of ITSM
7.6.04 SP4 from ITSM 7.1. The upgrade failed to load a few critical pieces.
This system is in production and starting over and reinstalling is not an
option. The recon and normalization engine was not working properly, but
everything was starting up fine. We are now getting the following errors in
the logs.

Arerror.log

Error encountered while initializing (Initialization routine) the share
library (ARERR 9755)

Cannot establish a network connection to the AR System Plug-In server (ARERR
8760)

Arrecond.log

Error while loading meta-data chace::

ARERR [90] Cannot establish network connection to the AR System server

[server name] (0) : RPC: Success

I'm not sure if any recent password changes of the services account may have
caused this. Everything was working fine before restarting the remedy
services. There were a lot of issues with the OBJSTR:Class records, which
were cleaned up. I'm not sure if the cleanup may have caused this.

Users are able to login to the mid-tier and use the system no problem. So
far it looks like it is the cmdb and recon jobs that are having the issue.
Also, when trying to go to the Atrium CMDB console we get an authentication
error. Any help would greatly be appreciated. My eyes are starting to go
cross from looking at all the pieces.

Thanks,

Brian
