You will either have to reinstall ARS 6.3 and then export the application
and data before you do a new install.
The other solution would be to reinstall version 7.1 but point it to the
old database. This will make the install script upgrade the database
tables to match version 7.1.
There are a whole series of changes to the schema going from 6.3 to
7.1 (new tables, altered tables, data changes, etc.). You need to run
the installer against the 6.3 schema so that the installer can make

monitoring system to open tickets based on certain events. The netcool
remedy gateway is used to push a few fields to Remedy and open a ticket,
then the Request ID is passed back to netcool and used for future

a Remedy application. Can you tell us what version of Help Desk/ITSM you
are using? It makes a big difference in terms of what you are practically
able to accomplish.

Perhaps the AR_CLIENT_TYPE is what you're looking for:
AR_CLIENT_TYPE_* (integer)
An integer value for the client type. For more information, see
AR_CLIENT_TYPE_* in the ar.h file.
You could then use workflow to limit a user's actions based on their
client type - in this case the User Tool.
