performance based on the plan info (what does each different function and
algorithm means and indicate good vs bad performance.) (must)

11. Understand and know how to interpret different Stats IO (must)

12. Understand parameters/data distribution and query plan performance
tuning relationship (highly preferred)

13. Understand Data, plan, and stats caching mechanism within database
engine (highly preferred)

of indexes (i.e., covered index, clustered index, and unique index.) (must)

15. Understand how index internal engine works (highly preferred)

16. Understand how locking mechanism works within db engine and how to
prevent locking (must )

transactions (must)

how should they be utilized for different scenarios and their unique
advantages and draw backs. (highly preferred)

21. Understand different type of functions and views and each type's
unique application, advantage, limitations, and disadvantage (must)

advantages and draw backs. (highly preferred)

23. Dynamic sql, cursor, trigger (understand their usage, programming,
draw back, and how to rewrite into tsql) (must)

24. Table partition and archive design and programming (must)

25. ETL, BCP, batch processing and SSIS package design and development
(synchronized vs asynchronized transaction, validation rules, logging,
parent vs child package, parameter passing, security management, error
tracking, notification, deployment, tuning) (must)

26. Experience in Analysis Services (SSAS), cubes and dimensions design
and programming. (preferred)
